socks 32,253
Popped down town earlier and as I parked up the car next to me had a little fat westy in it the car window on the rear passenger side was cracked about an inch and the dog was in the advanced stages of overheating and dehydration he was just about stopping panting his tongue was swollen he had frothy spit all over his mouth .... he was in a bad way ... I did have a quick look around and asked a few people but nobody claimed ownership so I was left with no option but to smash the window take the dog out and put him in the back of my truck with the air con on full ... Using the air con and water I managed to get the dog half decent and got him drinking a little when all hell broke loos ... Long story short the dopey mate that owned the car whent nuts that I had bust her window claiming it was well open and the dog was fine etc .... She phoned the police and the usual who did what ensued ... Luckily for me the few people I asked about the dog witnessed the whole thing and were able to back up my story ... Anyway the long and short of it was that I have to pay for her window to stop it going to court ... A small price to pay if its taught her a lesson and saved the dog but still, pissed me off a bit ...........

neil cooney 10,416
Not one cent would I give her and I'd say when she thinks it through she'll realise that bringing you to court could back fire on her. Well done with your actions.
Born Hunter 17,775
I'd be a bit pissed off as well. I suppose animal neglect is considered preferable to breaking a window to the police? An animal dying from hyperthermia is a horrible thing to witness. walshie 2,804
Good for you mate. I know you can't be bothered with the aggro, but I don't think she'd fare too well in court.
