out tonight to feed them and an old ferret of mine was dead dazed and its back end was going it dident look good at all its lost loads of weight over the last month has anybody had this

if its old and its back ends gone i cant see the problem with culling it. lets face it if it was a chicken/rabbit etc nobody on here would care. with vets charging what they do, sometimes its just not justified. by the sounds of it the lads killed it himself. swift death, better than pts at the vets from reading a recent post regarding such situation with fert getting an injection into the gut. advertising that you killed your ferret will get some peoples backs up. but killing rabbits also offends some people, so dont all just attack the lad, if it were me i would do the same. i just wouldnt tell the world.

Had to do with one of one last year swift hit on the head with a lump of wood feck going to the vets with it the only thing was done in front of one of my dogs and it wouldnt come near me for a we while

Personally I have no problem if he did PTS himself, far better in my eyes than a lingering death. The vet would want to try this and that and all that would do is line their pocket the end result would be the same.

Feel your pain had to clunk a good jill myself lost a power of weight over a week,seperated her and gave her the royal treatment but wasnt enough poor sod she was all shaking and wobling by second week . Shame like, rip

i just thought if it had went to the vets earlier, might have helped. the benifit of hind sight eh.. ill agree, vets are robbing gits
