Summer Ferreting

Just been to see the secretary and head green keeper on a golf course I have been giving permission on trouble is they want it started straight away (hate summer ferreting) but needs must to keep them happy so it's out with the ferts and spade next weekend.

your mental mate weekends on golf courses just now are in full swing as there playing there competitions , far better lamping or going out first light with a rifle , even then a lot of the guys no playing in the comp are out early to get a round in before starting time

Back on golf course for 5 the smorning did a couple of sets got 5 no digs so was well pleased sun came out and it was to hot so packet ferrets away had a bit crack with the chairman arranged to go back next week with the air rifles and take a few more.

Nice going mate new green convener at the course i did for seven years wanted only ferreting to be done after 7pm to 7 am so not to upset the members so the second word was Off, :laugh: hes been voted off now theres a polish bird got the job so need to bump into her see if shes more understanding :laugh::laugh:

Torch light ferreting lol. The guys here are spot on mate understand the probs of ferreting at this time of year and are happy for us to just keep picking them off and ferret them hard in the winter when the undergrowth had died back and we can get to best part of the warrens also gave me details of another course near by that's lifting with rabbits and said he would contact sec. And get me sorted.
