bigmac 97kt 13,778 Posted July 18, 2014 Report Share Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) Got to the farm for around 8 ish set up and off i went and came across the first one sitting with its back to me did not no i was there but as i was going to take the shot a bloody sheep moved up close to it and it jumped into the bracken so i lay,d up and waited as i new it would come back out. Five min,s later out it pop,d i lined the shot up and down it fell no1 in the bag i then walked over to the next field where i saw some kits but let them go then a nice big one came running past me that i had not seen and stopped just by the fence so i lined the second shot up and let the jsb go and a MISS a well we all do at some point . This happened a few times through the night must not of been on form so i lay,d up again and it must of been half an hour or more and the light was fading fast so i put the lamp on and i could see a bright red eye just behind the fence and fired down it went but when i went to pick it up it was a kit gutted as i don't want to shoot them but sh*t happens , On the way back to the car i came across two more kits and this time i say,d to my self im going to see how close i can get let me tell you i got with in 4or five feet and just sat there watching them feed and play it was good just to sit and watch being that close i could of reached out and stroked them . I sat there for 20 min,s and then stood up and quietly walked away and they still did not run off lol . After some refreshment i headed off down the long walk where i missed another two and by the time i got back to the car it was getting on so i took the photos and was going to head home but i thought id have another look in one of the feilds and as i looked over the fence there was one laying low in the long grass so i took a standing shot and no3 was in the bag so took the photo and gutted and skin,d it and headed back home so i only got the three but as i was leaving there in the garden was a nice big one standing up on its back legs. I slowed the car down and looked at it and say,d ill get you next time YOU CAN BET YOUR LIFE ON IT. atvbmac :thumbs: Edited July 18, 2014 by bigmac 97kt 5 Quote Link to post

Missed a squirrel because as i went to raise the gun i had to sneeze first and it buggered off! Gutted lol. that was when i was zeroing the rifle. 2 groups of 3 shots at 28 yards.
