ryaldinhio 4,738
how does that work jim? i had assumed once a gas ram loses pressure it would need refurbing to hold it again? otherwise the original reason for the pressure loss would still be there??? Quote Link to post
jimm92 0
Yeah that's a good point shouldn't of lost pressure in the first place however it may have taken years for it to drop pressure and they sell gas ram pumps at Blackpool air rifles Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
when I look at the pictures of the gas ram in your gun its similar to the ones that drop into bsa lightnings ,webley omegas and gammos ect .sold by theoben .awt . you may find you can put a spring into your gun you may be better of. ryaldinhio 4,738
i have never taken anything like that on, would it be a simple enough task or is it a job for a gunsmith? Quote Link to post
Coypu Hunter 486
I've just taken a FAC HW97K apart, it was scary the first time, because I didn't know what to expect, but now it's routine. Just arrange all the parts that come off the rifle on your bench from left to right, then put them back on from right to left, and make sure you don't have any bits left over. You don't need a spring compressor, just a bit of muscle to keep the guts inside the rifle while you unscrew the last few turns of the end cap. Put the rifle's fore-end into a padded vice and lean into it, and it won't explode all over the room. To get the guts back in, put the muzzle onto a pad on the ground, lean on it and slowly screw the end cap back in. Taking it apart will also give you the chance to clean any factory gunk out with petrol, and re-lube in the appropriate places. I had a FAC Nitro Venom for a while, and modded the trigger until it broke like glass. Transformed the rifle into a very nice shooter -- pity the weaver rail was welded on at an angle to the barrel by the Chinese factory! Your biggest problem will probably be finding the right guts. Email Sandwell Fieldsports with what you need, they'll reply pretty quickly by email in my experience, and tell you what they can offer. They do mail order for tuning kits etc., and if they can't help, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction. Email: sandwellfs@yahoo.co.uk Quote Link to post

Coypu Hunter 486
Suggest you wait until the guy you found has new stock delivered, then. Like I said, finding the parts for a Crosman over here in Europe will be the trickiest bit. Quote Link to post
