I am so sorry to hear of your decision regarding whippets at future shows. I personally, would like to thank you for the great show you put on yesterday, and not just because my whippet, Harley, won the Champion of Champions contest. I fully appreciate the hard work and many hours, that go into running a show like this, and for very little thanks. I really enjoy these shows and have made some very good friends through them, and I am sure that the vast majority of the whippet folk come out for a day's craic, and take the best dog home with them wether it wins or looses. Unfortunately you will always come across a few people who want to make trouble, but hopefully you'll still be running your shows, when they have taken up some other hobby, like solitaire, where they can't be beaten. I really hope you rethink your decision, as it really is just a few who are spoiling things for everyone else. Best wishes for the future whatever you decide.

John, I am sorry I didn't get to the show as I had planned - we were producing a special Game Fairs edition of the magazine which I had hoped would be nearly ready when I came back rom Birr on Tuesday but a lot of material was delayed and Paul Pringle's internet connection went down so I had to spend all weekend editing and laying it out so it could go out today.

 

I was impressed by your show last year - it was well organised and the trophies and prizes were excellent and in spite of the weather it looks as if it was a huge success this year.

 

Interestingly enough you and I first 'met' through a spat on this site but when we actually met 'face to face' we got on very well. Perhaps there is a lesson to be learned there in that if we spent more time discussing and sorting out things face to face rather than confrontation on social media problems that arise could be sorted out much more amicably. Can you let me have details of your qualifiers, AlbertJ

If you go into my timeline on Face Book under Margaret Mc Stay I have put up quite a few Photographs from this show. I would of liked to get more, but the weather conditions was terrible with the rain pelting down on my camera phone . Nearly ready with my write up, hopefully later this evening. Thank you for your kind words Hounddog 3. Its nice to be appreciated. I try most of the time to get it right. I must learn how to put photographs up on Hunting Life. Its a little more complicated than face book.
