Gaz_1989 9,539
I have just received the paperwork today from a claim with pet plan (first claim I have made). No problems at all. Both vets have been paid the full amounts. All I paid was the £75 excess at the time. I was kept up to date via text message when the claim was going through. I would recommend them. Gaz_1989 9,539
£75 including monthly payments how much ? 10 months at £15 = £150 + £75 = £225 Or in other words = well worth it. Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
I used Tesco but they doubled the price I had the dogs down as a beddy cross and a beardy cross and they came in at £12 for both monthly, I cancelled last week when the renewal was 27 quid monthly. My last lurchers were never insewered. Inswerance is a fecking scam. 3 Quote Link to post
Little Huntress 40
I've used pet protect with pup as a crossbreed and its £11 a month. In process of making a claim for £2350 vets bill. They've dealt directly with vets re claim and the excess was £50. Vet bill cover is £4k a year. Would recommend them. Quote Link to post

krawnden 1,036
I use John Lewis Insurance. They offer 3 levels of cover, starting at about £12/month. I've opted for the middle level of cover at about £16/month which gives £7500 of veterinary cover a year. I put them down as "crossbreed". Insurance seems like a waste of money if you never make a claim, but if you have a serious injury or illness you'll sure as hell be glad you've got it. I for one simply couldn't produce 4 or 5 grand just like that if it was needed - I just don't have access to that kind of money. And a bad accident can easily end up costing that much. So for my own peace of mind I'd prefer to stump up £16/month and know the safety net's there in case it's ever needed. Quote Link to post
paulus 26
over the years i have paid a fair old whack to vets, but i would think its nowhere near the amount i would have paid in insurance premiums but were all different what suits one may be no good for another, Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Lot of piss insurance haha gaz thought you said you paid £35 a month for your 2 dogs Yeh £35 a month was for 2. £20 for older bitch and £15 for the pup. Why is it a load of piss? It doesn't suit you clearly and that's fine. But why keep knocking everyone else who wants the insurance. If I didn't have insurance I would of spent close to £3000 instead of the £225 I have forked out so far. Just booked a £3000 holiday which I probably wouldn't of been doing if I didn't have insurance. Each to their own. I like having it and will always have it. Never know what's around the corner. Down as lurchers mate. No good lying. Vets will put them down on paperwork as whatever they see fit in the case of a claim. 1 Quote Link to post
