Eggy 0
Nice one Lennard ....I always had a soft spot for Galgo's....I suppose they're a bit like Saluki's temperament wise....& Superb stamina Was it a day time mooch or on the lamp? Cheers Eggy Quote Link to post
Gos 4
Sorry to sound ignorantbut i havenever heard of 'Galgo', what are they? Quote Link to post
Lennard 10
The more or less pure galgo is somehwere between sloughi and greyhound on the branch. Real hare dogs, fast and stamina, in the US they are up with the salukis/composites in the Desert Hare Classic and such events, check the Dutch Zarandillo kennel . check their club: http://www.galgoes.com/ You see them as rescues here because life is harsh in Spain but the well bred ones are expensive. Like good saluki really catlike, calm and aloof animals. It was a twilight mooch Eggy...it was sweet, long bikeride down there...and then loose in the twilight and watch...it does not run but stands still and then stalks. Dog can sometimes get up to a couple of metres, it really has patience and stops when the rabbit raises his head. Edited October 14, 2007 by Lennard Quote Link to post
lucky 578
i'm probably wrong, but that rabbit looks alive to me ?, also it looks very fat for a wild one, but i don't know what the wild rabbits are like in spain either ?. Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Actually, lads, I have read before that continental eurpean rabbits are in some ways quite distinctive from british ones. Don't ask me where I picked that snippet up. Just one of those things I came across. Like south american ones are right off the scale, apparrently. Regards that thing being alive? Look at the bloody shots before trying to piss all over mans enjoyment ..... Bragg yeselves off as " Hunters " when ye displaying the observational skills of cardboard boxes?! And Lucky; I'd have expected better of you mate Quote Link to post
