I enjoy a good dig,I still get very excited when the dial on the box is just about to click of and you know your inches away from your prize, and then when that little bit of soil gives way and the spade slides in to the chamber, it spurs me on to dive in with my hand to grab hold of bunnys back leggs and pop him out like a cork.Great love it

Frank you could be right about pepole not wanting to dig as well, Ive had the same rabbiting spade for, well it seems like ever, its a steel shafted trenching graft cut down to half its lenght, the blade that is, and in to the cutting edge in the centre is a semi circle about 2 inches wide, the edge of this is filed down like a blade to cut through tree roots, its is a little on the heavy side, but I have a loop of baleing twine tied to it like a shoulder strap, I would not be with out it

I love to dig down too. Nowt like it. I usually give it 20 odd mins, then get a pinpoint and away i go.

Your spade sounds interesting John, the right tool for the job.

Last season, i dug to 3 bunnys, 2 on one side of the fert bottled up and a dead one on her otherside, she was well and truly bloked in. The farmer came up for a nose and was delighted that i got them, as well as my ferret. He then showed me some more permission.

you cant beat getting that bit more permission, shows your doing some thing right, whats the most rabbits you got out of one hole, often got twos and threes, but once got seven from a dig all bottled up nose to tail and it was a one hole set, must have been a full litter of 3/4 grown rabbits never done any where near it since
