Hey up lads, i was sitting at home bored so i thought ill go to the farm for a few hours at least it will get me out and about.

 

Got to the farm for a little after 7pm and set the scopes up and off i went , i thought ill do the paddocks first and came across the first one just sitting there munching away so i crept along the fence line stopping every now and again to see if he was still there.

 

got to with in my zero range (30 yards)and with the barrel pointing through the fence and me on one knee i let a jsb go hitting it smack on it just rolled over so that was that no.1 in the bag.

 

I then headed to the back field ,the one me and vislauk (SEAN) call the water tower field as there is this bloody great big water tower at the top of it , there were two sitting there next to the tower i took my time getting to with in range as there is no cover to conceal my presence and sure enough one legged it but the other just turned round with its back to me so i lay prone for this one it was at about 40 yards so i took aim and it became no,2 in the bag.

 

No,3 came as i walked back to the car along the path line though the woods this path line is over grown with long grass and tufts of weeds and this rabbit was moving back and forth between the weeds so i took aim but it was moving its head , one second i could see it the next it was gone ,so on and so on.(The reason will be come apparent very soon).

 

It then stopped all of a sudden just long enough for me to line the shot up and as i squeezed the trigger and the jsb was on its way it moved but i hit a kit that was behind it that i did not see.

 

It had been playing with the kit and that was why it was moving around so much and i did not no it was there so i missed the big fecker but still hit another and when i picked it up it was hit in the head a little low but it still had the same affect.

 

Well i was well happy as i got back to the car , i put the three in the boot got out my iron brew and my sarnies (ham and peas pudding ) and i could not stop thinking about the kit and the big one that got away. Its getting harder to find the big one,s there are plenty of kits around but the big rabbits are laying low .

 

So after i had had some think to drink and eat i checked my bloods with my little machine (Im diabetic and have to keep an eye on my blood sugar levels) off i went again this time i went into the farm yard and came across two of the little feckers standing on there back legs with there ears pricked up .They both legged it but one went under the bails of hay so i lay prone and put the lamp back on and there it was just sitting there.

 

I took aim and down it went ,but i had to find a long stick to pull it out so a look around the yard and said stick was found and the rabbit was in the bag to .No,4 .

 

i then went into another field where i took no5 at about 30 yards and not to long after that no6 but i could not find it in the long grass i looked for half an hour for it and even went back but to no avail.

 

No7 came as i walked back to the car again this time in the little garden next to the big house and again at my zero distance (30 yards) but it back flipped into some brambles and once again i could not find it.

 

I then called it a night after i had skinned them so i had a good night hit 7 but only got 5 atvbmac

Dont mind me asking but what is the lamp/torch your using mate need a new onr and not sure which to get cheers

Well in mac i havent got anything since that rabbit last monday. Went satday but didnt see anything. Might go out with the 97 at the wwekwnd

I was going to go back in day light to look for them but i got a phone call so had to go to work and it is high , highest iv seen it for a long time on the farm atvbmac :thumbs:

Tom its a ultra fire xml.t6 there mint and you can zoom in and out with it good for looking way across a field i got this one off a good friend as a gift but i think there is some one on face book who makes them i can find out for you atvbmac :thumbs:

Nice write up as always Mac got me wanting to go for a mooch tonight but been on road all Day just cant face it probably tomorrow few beers and YouTube tonight don't know were I'm going with this I'm just typing away haha
