ShootistUK 1 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Share Posted August 13, 2014 I use carburetor cleaner for a number of jobs unrelated to cleaning carburetors. I would have no worries in using this on the inside of a rifle barrel as long as it had had a chance to dry thoroughly before shooting it again. I also keep handy a tin of the liquid petroleum lighter fluid which I use for all manner of cleaning jobs - great for removing some stains and greasy finger prints from hard surfaces.
