Pit Bull At Its Best

Am I alone in thinking these are horrible looking dogs?

Sorry and all that but I fing nothing attractive about them at all.

i suppose mate , as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder , I wouldn't say there attractive looking dog like say gsd or lab ,pointer, but seeing well bred fit lookin apbt on a lead or doing the above, for me is great sight to see, but ive been round bull breeds since I was a kid, and think a apbt is fantastic breed of dog, but there not for everybody

They may not be attractive dogs, but a well bred, fit bull dog is an impressive sight in my eyes. Not that often seen, and outnumbered by frog headed barrels in my view

saw this on face book.the training gone into this dog must have taken months if not longer, superb control and obedience.

The only individuals of this breed i find ugly are those that have been ruined for the show bench. A genuine game bred bulldog to me is the finest looking canine going...handsome is s handsome does...

You can train them to a high standard given the time and effort http://youtu.be/OW1eQE4kWFM

Funnily enough most that I like the look of certainly wasnt bred for looks. So many different looks in the breed yet its rare I find one which I think is ugly. Most of all I just like seeing a well condition dog in shape regardless of the breed.

This dog is a good example because its not in idiots hands. Wouldn't want it used as an example of what the breed should be though. Last thing the breed needs is more idiots buying them and wanting gaurd dogs and ending up with man biters.

Pitbull pitbull arrggghhhh. That's the remark these dog's usually get. But imo they are the perfect specimin . The ultimate dog. Sadly all too many end up in the hands of numpties. Took years and years to get to the end product and sadly 2 minutes to ruin it's reputation. Excellent likkel clip that.

impressive what you can do with a prong collar, and a shock collar! make no wonder the dogs on edge

yeh maybe so , but pits are intelligent dogs , and can take to training just like any dog can, and a lot have sensitive nature a e/collar could fook them up totally

I would like to take this opportunity to stand up for electric, and prong collars. But the handler seemed to have to prong collar attached to a leash which was dangling. This would give corrections to the dog for no reason. Then using two seperate forms of correction at the same time seems a little odd as well. But then again, like someone mentioned alot of police dogs do not handle as well.

Nice vid jigsaw!

My thoughts exactly. That dog when on the sleeve always seemed to be expecting an "off"command. I have no issue with the use of either collar type used correctly, but both together with a trailing lead is, in my mind not good practice. I'm not knocking a well tained dog, just questioning hows its been achieved and the results when it REALLY matters

You do get some damn ugly pitbulls, but it's hard to say there aren't some lookers, like Jeep and Chinaman:

Was it Stratton said something along the lines of " a bulldog can do everything any other dog can do, and whip it too!"

and if they attack there are 1000's times more dangerous than any other dog, the dog whisper said the same . not sure about that though I reckon them kangals or bel mal would be a handful

There was a mag about yrs ago, (maybe still is?) called "combat and survival. only bought it once as it had an article on the us army trying out A.P.B.T's as attack dogs, they gave up after a good few months of trying as they found, whilst very good at the attack side of things, the control they had over them was a bit hit and miss when the blood was up, so to speak. they would hit anywhere and release when THEY thought it was over...maybe why that fella has all the bells and whistles around that bitches neck?...very impressive tho...
