The Armstrong Lie

Recommended Posts

What are the odds on Usain Bolt being clean? I'd say odds on he isn't!

He's unwell and needs Gabapentin. Which has a side effect of increasing the twitch rate and number of active fibres in your muscles...which would make a person run faster. His team mate (same team same doctors, same coaches, same everything) was busted for drugs use. Oh and Jamaica was in trouble a while back because they didn't drugs test their athletes. Nope, he's clean HAHAHAHAHA, as if.

Everyone knows bodybuilders are on drugs. Track cyclists have thighs as big as bodybuilders, and they're not on drugs? Seriously? They are.

Cyclists are all asphmatic, and need inhalers! WHAT?!?! Inhalers make lungs more effective and are full of stimulants?

The thing is, it really is a level playing field. EVERYONE is on drugs, but the events are advertised as being 'drug free' when they're not.

I say, just have a drugs olympics and a drug free olympics.

Lance was just the high - profile scapegoat, in my opinion.

One of this year's main contenders is Alberto Contador, who has been kicked off the Tour TWICE, after failing routine tests...........................

You just cant compare Epo to anabolic steroids and lump it all in as one and the same.....like many other people who break the rules in any walk of life GREED is what gets you in the end........and Armstrong was no exception.

On now c4,,if anyone's interested

I thought it was riveting,a man with absolute self belief, determination, and courage, undone by his arrogance and tunnel vision.David Walsh eventually got his revenge.

He basically ripped people off for millions and pretty much got away with it. Lucky he didn't end up behind bars. I know he lost millions too but I bet his far from skint in his big ranch and apart from feeling a bit unpopular when he wakes up he is sitting pretty

On the other side of the coin great athlete survived cancer and raised a fortune to help others job to know what to make of him

Just watched it, what a great documentary.......they were all doing it so I almost overlooked the drugs use thing after 30 minutes.

The thing I found most interesting was the mans sociopathic attitude to winning......totally disregarding almost every normal human relationship, willing to cut ties with lifelong friends, willing to do their lives real damage......because he was just blindly focused on always being the winner.

It's don't make him a very nice dude, but it does bring sharply into focus the attitude I believe you need in sport.

Should it carry over into day to day life, I don't think so, but in competition or a match or whatever then it's the only way to be IMHO

Great film
