mad al 146
My first car was a old K plate MK1 Escort, it was a very sexy Light Blue . the second Motor in the picture was a MK3 Cortina 2.0 GT, The third was My Pride and joy at the time and a prime Fanny Magnet, Capri 2.0 S, and another quick picture of a Escort RS Turbo Custom 91 Spec I owned in 93, another Fanny Magnet for its time ... For some reason during this era I had a thing about Fannies .. Feckin' petrol head
scottishlass 57
Well since passing my test 10 yrs ago i have had a few cars i started with a beat up fiesta van it lasted a year before the arse fell out of it.I then got a yellow fiesta car cheap at the time could not afford owts else. I then moved in with ny future husband and we both sold our cars and got a astra it buggered up so next car was a nova it lasted a few years untill some 1 run in to it and wrote it off. We then got a pug 106 kept it for a while sold it and got a rover 200 after that we needed 2 cars so i bought a old beat up pug 106 for going to and from work it lasted a year till it fell to bits i then got a beat up clio it did not last long either. Then we diecided to keep the rover as the second car for the dogs and get a new car we got a subaru impreza ,2 months after getting the impreza some twat in a tractor who was cutting a corner smacked in to the rover and wrote that off, so we now have a impreza and a old vw polo for the dogs

jasper65 6
love the cortina ! So did I mate!! it was my Baby. It was the MK3 with the Square headlights and the Wooden dash and rev counter plus the plush black cloth seats , I did everything to it from sticking a 4 branch manifold on it and some twin choke webbers and a nice noisy exhaust, I also had a Wondow Louvre, 13 inch steering wheel, breaking lights in the rear window, all the Decals which you can faintly see in the picture, earth strips on the back with lights on, silly lights on the front grill and a even dafter siren I could blast when I drove past people , I have a later picture of it somewhere fitted with crome 8 spokes.. My Capri was the quickest out of the two though, it was fitted with a 285 piper fast road cam, 4 branch manifold, peco exhaust and webber twin 40's. I remember a XR2 MK1 trying to over take me and I blitzed him , wow was those the days when you could tweak cars and play with them until your hearts content, Bring back Points and Carbs I say and a good strobe light .... Cheers Jasper
