Guest Macnas
Ford fiesta festival, 1980, in that bronze colour you never see anymore. Little goe'er of a car, webber carb in it for some unknown reason, fell to bits underneath me, I drove it to destruction and it still wouldn't stop running. Had to get rid of it eventually, I got tired of the rust and leaking windows. And that was when the windows decided to stay up. Became a dab hand at changing starter motors due to that little car. Still, you always have good memories of the first motor.

stubby 175
my first car was an old "71" ford cortina mk3 that cost me all of £45, the gloss had gone from the paintwork, and if ya dragged ya hand across it, you'd have a blue hand, but it was my pride and joy, being my first car, and me knowing feck all bout motors, me and my bird (then wife) then (ex wife) thank god, were driving along when some kids shouted that we were on fire, we wernt, but we were smoking!!!!! like something out of james bond and this was the escape fog, anyway pulled over and stuck a whole gallon of oil into the engine, remember thinking, bloody hell cars drink alot of oil, of course it didnt cos two minutes later we had come to a stop and i was on the blower to me dad asking for advice some time later both the doors (front) dropped on the hinges, so were welded shut, we used to get in and out like "the dukes of hazzard" had this for 2yrs and it sailed through MOT's yet higher priced later cars, always needed something doing
