Kabbychris 7
Hi all I know this is really cheeky but I've just got myself a AA S410 Carbine .22 and after the lay out for the gun/accessories money is tight so is wanting someone in Cheltenham/ Gloucester area who could help me out with the use of a chronograph? As I think that it's under pressure and really can't afford to take to shop to get checked. Obviously a couple of pints are in it and I can travel. Thanks Quote Link to post
Kabbychris 7
Yes good idea yes my first pcp got a old hw85 that rattles the bones out off you so maybe that's why? Not use to the pcp and no recoil as I can see pellet in flight. It just doesn't seam to have much impact in the target. Quote Link to post
neil82 1,080
don`t get too hung over power, accuracy counts for more, all my guns are set up for as close to 10.5 as I can get them and that does all that I need, as to checking your gun out join the AAOC, there is bound to be someone local to you who would help out 1 Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
Indeed what this forum is for. Does it drop rabbits? What actually makes you think it's under power? Quote Link to post
neil82 1,080
first pcp I had was only kicking out 6ftps, did all I needed once I learnt how to use it, then I got a combro and got paranoid about power, little bit wiser now and am more concerned about pellets and consistency, still costs too much money to test tho, lead is getting expensive Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Give me 11.6ft/lb and accuracy any day . The more people say I only need 10.6ftlb for hunting ,its ammunition for the authorities to bring down our all ready low air gun power. All my guns run at 11.3 -11.7ft/lb and all are very , very accurate as well 2 Quote Link to post
David.evans 5,323
Most good gun shops would chrno your gun for free , after All it would most likely to lead to more sales , I've got one but be for I did , they used to do it no charge I'd willing do it for you , I'm sure that some kind gent on the site will help, that doesn't live to far away Atb Dave Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Can't be more than 2-3 quid if you had to pay anyway. Air... Now that's getting expensive. The gunshop down the road charges a damn fiver to fill my se. Hft club, 50p. Quote Link to post
Kabbychris 7
Thanks for the replies I'm going to join a club that says they can check it but if it needs turning down that's down to me as it's a pre AT! Quote Link to post

Kabbychris 7
Well just got back from visiting Davyt63 and I can honestly say that he is a GREAT bloke so much info my head is spinning and after chronograph my AA s410 we worked out my gun was only putting out 8.5ftlb on max pressure (what I've been shooting at) after firing some off we got it to 11.3ftlb at 130ish bar more power with less pressure. Like I said fantastic info from a GREAT bloke THANKS Davyt63 see you soon 2 Quote Link to post
