Alugan, Do They Still Sell It In Ireland?

I used to use it all the time, brilliant stuff bath with it twice a year and no flea problems. When the licence was withdrawn here, it was still available in Ireland is that still so?

 

There is a newer version of it Aludex, but that is on hold at the moment because of manufacturing problems, so I have been told.

 

Anyone know anything?

I used to use the bath to bathe them in put the required amount of water in the bottom of the bath. Stand the dog in it and sponge the liquid all over them and just watch the fleas drop off. Was great for mange as well.

It was in a foil type sache when i used it years ago,but what about Ivomec? That seems to sort most things out..

Collie blooded dogs are very sensitive to it, and the dosage has to be bang on......I think the dosage is 1ml per 50kg...the lice treatment for cattle is very competitive 30 euro over here for 500 ml. I stick 1 or 2 ml at the base of the tail and the neck depending on the size of the dog...you can water it down and spray kennels as well.

Try benzyl benzoate, get it from pet supplies sites (hyperpet for one) its for horses but works well on dogs for fleas and mites etc.

Benzyl benzoate is good, no doubt about it, but I've only ever seen it in a lotion.

Is it easy to use like a shampoo ?

aludex is very good aswell, still available in ireland 20 euro a bottle
