Maximus Ferret 2,063
Very nice looking pup Gaz. She seems to be moulting at the moment. Is she smooth coated or is she slightly broken from the deerhound ancestry? Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Yeh her coat is horrendous at the moment. Coming out in handfuls. It's not rough but it's thick and a bit wirey. Someone else recommended a furminator, I will have to get one. A normal brush doesn't touch her. Hopefully it's just the weather and she is shedding her puppy fur. Her sire was deer/grey x collie/grey and dam was deer/grey x whippet. She will see a bit of work this season so fingers crossed Quote Link to post
breeze 1,336
If you get one of them Furminators you will be amazed how much coat you take out of her 1st time with it Young bitch looks well by the way Quote Link to post

Barralad 40
Save yourself a few bob! A used hacksaw blade will strip that coat no problem. A tip I got from a greyhound man years ago, works a treat!!! 2 Quote Link to post
