jonce 3
Hi all been out of the sport for a while and always used to use my uncles s16 or weirak but looking to start up again and purchase my own Pcp, I'll be using it lampong with the odd pogeon/roaming to boot so after something loghtish nice wooden stock and multishot. I'm looking to spend upto 600 for a good used gun, .22 preferablybut. Also interested if Anyone thinks otherwise would be better? Cheers Dan Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,551
Hi Dan. My pcp preference lies heart and soul with the HW 100`s by a country mile. If you are lamping at night go for .177 calibre as this calibre is much, much more forgiving with its trajectory when you are trying to judge distances at night. Just my humble opinion, atb. villaman 9,983
I think Mark has summed it up , but saying that the BSA Ultra is a fantastic gun as well Quote Link to post
logan esq 99
I use the bsa r10 but it's a personal preference and how big your wallet is. Definitely .177 for lamping but that again is personal preference. The ultra by all accounts is awesome, but many like the hw100. Let us know what you choose and put a few picks up too. Mr Mcgoo 18
Hw100 I'll never recommend anything else haha. I've shot 177 and now have 22. 177 does take a bit of the guess work out of hitting the target but I'm getting along nicely with 22 . Now using jsb express rs 13.4 gr and they fly similar to 177 with being so light Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
hw 100 is very good I have also got a verminator mark 1 that is also very good .the hw 100 is a little better but cost a lot more. Quote Link to post
bugg 84
S410 for me, not been fortunate enough to be in the position to own a hw100 but love my .177 s410 enough for it not to bother me, very accurate decent shot count but not reg'd wich to be fair is a slight disadvantage but I know the rifle so again not really too bothetred about that either, if I was going to buy a new one I'd go for the hw100 Quote Link to post
