wirral countryman 2,110
Was thinking along the lines of coursing cough, also lasts for a few days, normally after a hard run. Like they've stretched there lungs I've kept fast coursing stock all my life and never heard of coursing cough, coughing after a heavy run is normally a heart condition brought on by over running at to early an age, the lungs go hard causing this condition, the term "blown" covers it for most lads, a lot of dogs cough when excited going out but if its something that's just started lately then monitor it for about 5 days, if no improvement then go see a vet, atb, WM
bryanm45 787
My experience is with Whippets and most do have a heart condition your right, but have found some dogs (whippets) more subseptable to cough for a few days after a hard run, it goes after 3-4 days but also think it depends on dogs fitness aswell
