Frank Dux The Real Deal

Recommended Posts

I have entered a few freestyle comps over the years and was invited to an upcoming competition but at 45 I reckon I would be pushing it a bit lol ......

Anyway it got me thinking about the kumite and frank dux who was undoubtedly the master of that competition ... He still holds the record for the fastest knock out ... You always hear about lee ... Chan ... Norris etc but very little about dux who in my opinion was as good if not better than any of these ... If your interested in this sort of thing YouTube his interview with the voice and watch him take a coin out of his hand ... The speed is amazing .......

He's no faster than me when a rabbit hits the net...........................

Things have changed.. Today. we have MMA , Cage Fighting etc,..but back then,..there was no Martial Arts Council,.no safety requirements and scant allowance made for Health and Safety,...in short, it

dux also co wrote and acted in blood sport and the quest also starring jean claude van damme, who played dux in those films, he has a great say in a lot of martial arts films for correography and production, great martial artist

i rekon dux would have beaten bruce lee, lee is great but i feel his small size would have been his weakness against a great white or black man, lee is a legend althogh i dont think dux got the recognition he deserves. check out tommy carruthers from scotland hes like a racing flea aswell, and teaches jeet kune do.

i prefare the k1 competitions to mma as the modern mma is to quick to go to ground where it gets boring. and k1 has no weight divisions either so the best man most likely will win
