Tiercel 6,986
Personally I like a Claret, Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon. But half the fun of drinking wine is finding the ones you like. Try them all and stick to the ones you like best. TC
DannyMc 143
Hard to beat a nice Rioja.
Brigzy 1,298
Few tips; Don't listen to wine snobs, drink what YOU enjoy. Don't pay more than £6 - £7 a bottle. Remember, the tannins in red wine will give you a far worse hangover than white wine. Above all..... ENJOY !!!!!
bobcullen79 1,495
Corte Mayor Rioja. Only red I can get stuck into. Its usually £10.50 at our local co op, so when its on offer for £6, I normally clear the shelf... All the other budget and expensive stuff Ive tasted was`nt as nice by far. I think I struck gold first time out.

Terra Firma 136
Tesco no frills Australian red....£4 a bottle, bargin. Yellow tail Shiraz......£7, very nice. Mcguigan do good reds and are often on special at the supermarkets. Enjoy!
littlefish 587
Yellow Tail Shiraz....2 for £12 in Sainsburys at the minute.....one of my favourites. More at risk of 'vinegar' with white wine I think.....

squab 2,875
dont mind the odd bottle of red myself, found quite a few of the Australian ones more than easy to drink, most are cheap enough to do plenty of experimenting to find the ones you like, the hard thing if you dont keep the bottles is remembering them
