Matt 160
Was that a handful of bait you threw in after setting the 1st trap? What was it? Well spotted I always chuck a handful of bait through the tunnels (peanuts in this case), when I'm trapping squiggers Quote Link to post

Matt 160
The truth is, in a woodland situation like this you don't really need bait in the tunnel traps. Squirrels are inquisitive little buggers, and can't seem to resist a tunnel I tend to use whatever I've got to hand. Often whole wheat, sometimes whole maize, but my favourite is to get hold of some whole cobs in the autumn, cut them into slices, and leave them drying. I hang them off a bit of wire in the cages and the squiggers can't resist them. Two more out of the cages today. I may put a video or two up later this evening. Quote Link to post
