Bush Rummager 4,763
Just to add my little bit. Firstly, Hetfield is definitely pro hunt, and that's what the pre gig video was about apparently. The BBC were trying to make something of it this morning when i flicked the tele on. I didn't put it on live last night until about 10:15.... I've seen Tallica live about seven times over the years....and I'm not talking abut standing at the back tapping my foot! Secondly, like I mentioned to my misses, it sounded a bit ...... wank!!! Not the old sound I remember.... more bass required!,, It was as a decent show by the Tallica boys to be fare... For their age! I personally think they peaked in the early 90's. ... raw and full of energy. Thirdley....... I ain't got a clue.... get pissed, and enjoy yourselves.. Do what makes you happy... It's a short life.... get in there and live the dream!... You don't to to look back in years to come and regret not doing it!!!!

Id love to be wrong cause im a huge Metallica fan but I cant see how its anything other than a video which ends in a load of people hunting getting shot. If it was meant to be a middle finger to antis then it should have been more blatent. Seems to me that they have just tried to appease the vocal antis so they could play one of the best known festivals in the world...
Guest vin
clean bandits and rudimental were very very good. as for kasabian...leave it out.. bag o shite. . . they're more over-rated than that complete and utter tosser Kanye Wet and I mean Wet. not West. Ed Sheeran ...he was the man.. all on his own out there with the whole place in the palm of his hands. . .A true star. Edited June 30, 2014 by vin

I thought ,on watching the whole video, including the 'Ecstasy of Gold' tribute to Eli Wallach (RIP), that the video was all really 'tongue in cheek' Ne'er mind, old chap.... Kill em all!!! Bosun11 537
Thought Robert Plant was fantastic (didn't expect anything else!) Ed Sheeran is just simply very very good, have a lot of respect for that kid, like the way he goes about his business. As was/is Ellie Goulding, who really did surprise me, wow, she really rocked out and is damn easy on the eye too! If I was in my teens, there would be posters on my bedroom walls and crispy socks under the bed..! Dolly was/is in a league of her own, fair play to the 'ol gal, I always love her line, it's taken an awful lot of money to look this cheap..! Metallica, as has been said, seen their best years back in the late 90's but they give it some, fair play....
Guest vin
just watched St Vincent... wow ! that lady has blown my mind.. . she rocks.
NEWKID 27,277
Agree with you Bosun on all of that ( particularly Ellie Goulding lol) I'm not a big Kasabian fan either, love my rock music, but find they bore me after a while. That ed sheeran is real talent though, to fill a song like that with 1 instrument is brilliant, all those years of busking are paying off
