the thing is how many proper staffs are there out there? not very many compared to how many staffs there are fact. the topic is about first cross bull/hounds. if everyone said staffs are a good enough cross for a running dog everyone else would start crossing there pets with greyhounds and then god help running dogs.

Just out of interest have any of you put the grey over the bull bitch or is the preferred dam the grey? is there much difference in the pups depending which dog is used to produce the litter. Has anyone bred a litter of american bulldog x greyhound if so what were they like ?

I suppose it's like asking how many good working dogs are out there compared with pet/show/scatterbred dogs. By the nature of the type of work good staffords do, the owners will probably keep them out of public view.
