CharlieSlade 14
Bit of filing to make the bits you intend to join rough then epoxy resin?
Born Hunter 17,751
Well when I eventually get round to doing something similar I had intented to use threaded bar and epoxy and a bit of carefull drilling. That way all joins should be hidden. Are these gonna be electrical ones or candles? They look mint with rustic cast iron candle holders and big chains. Sell for decent money too!
air gun ant 1,666
I'd of said epoxy too, and like BH said threaded bar or dowel
sussex 5,777
Cheers lads ...got a couple of odd fallow ones to have a practice on ..the epoxy seems the way forward ...BH they are going to be electric because they need them to actually light the shoot lodge rather than just look good ...if they turn out ok I might make one for my place but do it with the candles ...thanks for your input
CharlieSlade 14
When you put the lights in you could cut a small thin indentation up towards the part where the bulb will be to hide the wire then paint it, as it might look tacky if there are wires hanging from it, just a thought. Good luck Edited June 26, 2014 by CharlieSlade
