i use 9.5mm for all the above but i would put it down to preference,,ie some like 12mm lead but then you need double bands to get the power to shoot them,just have a look at some of the kills on this page and most are using single tbg or asda bands

I use anything really , I use singles most of the time and shoot marbles , 9,5 steel and any other ball bearings , hex nuts what ever and double asda blue for 12 mm leads mate and the draw is easy

11mm lead i find is the best compromise

ie small enough to be fast without dropping over distance but with enough oomph to do the business.

these can be made with number 1 ball moulds for fishing weights.

i usually get most things close in

15 to 20 feet

catty excells at this qiuck opportunistic shooting

if making them not an option try hex nuts for close stuff

they can be surprisingly effective.
