coverdogs 888 Posted June 23, 2014 Report Share Posted June 23, 2014 Have any of you guys across the water been watching the GAA championship hurling and football on sky sport recently? its new to sky sports it started a few weeks ago what's your thoughts on it so far, for those who have not seen it watch sky sports 3 wed night 9:00 pm GAA champion review its a repeat of yesterdays game the all-ireland senior hurling champion between kilkenny and galway is a game not to miss, it will be a break from the world cup. It's getting great reviews, there was a hockey player on twitter saying that they though it was crazy that a goal keeper would stand in nets with no protective gear on him while trying to save a penalty l.o.l.at least they wear helmets these days. Lol, don't they say that about all goalkeepers, they must be half mad to be one and I suppose a hurling goalkeeper must be even madder, haha. When I was playing, very few lads used to wear them and there was no face guard. If you weren't going well in a game the helmet would be thrown off, as if that was to blame, haha. I was playing a club game one night and got split on the top of my head, I ended up getting four or five stitches. I was kneeling down and getting a bit of water put on the cut. The referee came up and had a look, thats nothing he said and pulled up his shirt, big scar going down his chest and stomach, chainsaw accident, made my cut look like a scratch, haha. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
