Very exciting game, some great scores and skills on display

I hear the coverage of the GAA matches is getting good reviews in the UK.

It's getting great reviews, there was a hockey player on twitter saying that they though it was crazy that a goal keeper would stand in nets with no protective gear on him while trying to save a penalty l.o.l.at least they wear helmets these days.

Lol, don't they say that about all goalkeepers, they must be half mad to be one and I suppose a hurling goalkeeper must be even madder, haha.

When I was playing, very few lads used to wear them and there was no face guard. If you weren't going well in a game the helmet would be thrown off, as if that was to blame, haha.

I was playing a club game one night and got split on the top of my head, I ended up getting four or five stitches. I was kneeling down and getting a bit of water put on the cut. The referee came up and had a look, thats nothing he said and pulled up his shirt, big scar going down his chest and stomach, chainsaw accident, made my cut look like a scratch, haha.
