Ruster 9
I thinking about either getting a new rifle or changing the barrel on my hw95 but before i do wanted to know what you thought of .20 for a hunting caliber? I have used .22 in every gun i have had but after seeing a few .177 shots got me thinking what about a middle of the road caliber, is it worth using or is it best to stick with a .22? villaman 9,983
Its not worth changing the barrel you would be better buying new . With heavy pallets in .177 and lighter pellets in .22 cant see the need for .20 imo 1 Quote Link to post

andyfr1968 772
I've been using .20 for the past six years or so and I wouldn't go back to either .22 or .177 in a sub 12 gun. It really does work very well indeed and there's plenty of pellets to choose from but mostly online. Stick to the main brands, H and N, JSB and avoid the crappy U.S. made stuff (other than Crosman, they're quality) and you'll be fine. Change the barrel on your 95, experiment and enjoy 2 Quote Link to post

Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
What are your thoughts on the weight and balance of your hw95 ? If you want a bit more weight at the front have a look at the hw98 barrel ...if they do them in .20 ? It will fit straight onto your 95 action Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Maybe he could look at getting hold of a tuned second hand 98 Skot Quote Link to post
