cragman 2,791
Horton In Ribblesdale. Walk up Pen Y Ghent. I takes me about 50 odd mins to get up there then take the route down the other side back to Horton. You'll be ready for a pint then in The Crown.

morton 5,368
One of the best little boozers was at Linton, the original Emmerdale location, beer barrel behind the bar, straight into a jug and then the glass,2 little rooms that were packed with the locals, some good permission was to be had there with a little knowledge and the offer of a fill-up.Woke up outside in the car or van a few times, smelly dogs, rabbits and hungover occupants, made for a sorry sight in the light of day, were did that youthful exuberance get to?.

Just to be pedantic,,,you mean littondale,,,,cos the original village was arncliffe,,,in littondale ,,spent a lot of time round there in the ,s,,,at one time you could do as you liked round there without hassle ,,,but things changed... As for hawes,,great little town,,,very popular though with tourists and crag rats,,, the chippy there still frys in beef dripping,,as do a few other chippys in Yorkshire dales,,,a few nice pubs,,,with open fires ect... First time I ever watched a stoat chase and eventually kill a rabbit,,was next to the campsite on the edge of hawes village,, think I've had a love afiar with the dales eversince
