NEWKID 27,179
The bass are in the estuary and the rivers are open.. It was a tough call but the bass won, Me and fin had a nice few hours after work on the Teign estuary and ended up with a couple of nice bass on live eels for tomorrow's tea. Great fishing on really light gear ( 6lb line and braid) just a hook and swivel, them let the live eel run down with the flow, missed a few good takes but they're there for another day.... It'll be the river next... 4 Quote Link to post

NEWKID 27,179
By far my favourite way to fish for them too John, Would like a go at fly fishing for them, I've only cast a fly a few times though so could end in a mess lol Quote Link to post
Lid 194
Great stuff! I caught my first bass on a dead sandeel. Is there still a size limit for retaining bass these days? Quote Link to post

Lid 194
Good to see they are the right size. The smaller one did look under from the photo. Mustn't give any antis any ammo. Quote Link to post
NEWKID 27,179
Photos can be deceiving, I'm definitely not one for giving anyone ammo.. I thought it was 14" and knew they were way over that, we've all got to be a bit careful with picking the bones out of each other's posts too!! We wouldn't want to give them ammo that isn't there.... Would we? Edited June 21, 2014 by NEWKID 4 Quote Link to post
