johnrussell84 2,832
Mines get wee walks here and there just down to the river n stuff they deserve to switch off and relax after going hard at it in all weathers. What does my head in is folk that like mooch now cos theres young or theyre and easier to find in the open daffodil hunters. The second one is the folk that travel the country to shows tone there dogs boasts they do this n that strangers want to x there dogs just through looks and chit chat [bANNED TEXT] all there dogs are good for is worrying stock. Now im not saying thats everyone. Just cracks me up how far they go to chase a rosette rather than take the time to reassure round stock etc. We ve all witnessed it ..all that said & done, where was your picture taken that you have up?????..emmmmmm looks to me like a show!!!!!!!! are you chasing daffs or rossettes That would be a local show buddy I dnt mind supporting them and having abit of a gab woth the local boys I certainly dont go chasing up and down the country and that pic he wasnt in any rings. So nah no rosettes Edited June 21, 2014 by johnrussell84 Quote Link to post

stabba 10,745
s.e.s.k.u hit the nail on the head for me. Give em just enough to stop em getting bored and fractious. As for running em on hard ground. i suppose none of you run em on the stubbles that are rock hard?? they are lurchers not namby pamby pedigrees. they are bred to be run and tested on unforgiving ground imo. Summertime is for relaxation and a winding down process after a long season of graft. You see these ripped to the max lurchers at the shows in June when in actuality they should be only half fit . Peak time for a lurcher should be late October early November. Usually any earlier than that and they'll burn out before seasons end if grafted hard. The joys of summer eh. 1 Quote Link to post
