Phil Lloyd 10,738
What are peeps thoughts on ferreting this time of year? Reason being as I now have 7 hungry little mouths to feed they are going through a whole large bunny very other day and topping up with chicken wings and thighs is costing a bloody fortune, but if that's what it needs then so be it I won't scrimp on their welfare,so the reason for the question could I take the Jill out for a couple of hours and get me a few bunnys. Facts are,..it is your call,..it is no one else's business,...you can do what you like,.... 1 Quote Link to post
mattyg 1,862
No kits this year for me but I like to feed dry in the summer with a lamb heart and anything else I stumble across on my rambles with the dog or gun...... Cheers, Matt Quote Link to post
Katsdad 31
Just fed them a mackeral and they tore it up all gone in about 15 mins. Totally agree with you phil but being fairly new to this it's worth getting some views. Cheers 1 Quote Link to post
hideandshoot 13
My two jills have been eating a grey squirrel for the last two days. Checked the nest tonight and only the skin remained. No flies, as there was nothing left for the flies. Freezer full of goodies anyway, but I never turn down a free meal, and the variety is good for them. Never thought of feeding them raw fish though, I'll give that a go when I next get chance. Cheers Quote Link to post
