Mister Gain 1,764 Posted June 20, 2014 Report Share Posted June 20, 2014 The first coloured boots I recall were back in 1969, Stylo Matchmakers they were called, and they were purple with side lace-ups.. otherwise known as Georgie Best boots. Couldn't afford them though. First pair of football boots I got were bought by my mother at a school jumble sale (about 1961/62) and were brown, and you had to dubbin them. Normally a stud or two would fall out during a game, but was easily replaced as they were nailed in, and every cobbler/shoemender sold them Quote Link to post Share on other sites
