With the Northern Ireland Game Fair to be held at Shanes Castle 28th and 29th June fast approaching below is a list of the Ferret Events which will take place on Sunday 29th beginning at 11:00am in the Countrysports In Action Arena.

Please note the Ferret Showing and Racing will take place in the Countrysports In Action Arena and not at the Lurcher and Terrier showrings as i understand that last year some people brought ferrets along and missed the ferret events due to some confusion as to where they were being held.

Ferret Show Classes 11:00am start
1 Polecat Hob
2 Polecat Jill
3 Albino Hob
4 Albino Jill
5 Any Other Colour Hob
6 Any Other Colour Jill
Trophies for each class winner with rosettes up to 3rd place.
Winners from classes 1-6 will compete for the over all Show Champion and Reserve.

Ferret Racing to be held immediately after the showing.

Some of the prizes on offer on the day will include two ferret carrying boxes kindly donated by Glen Doherty, a 15kg bag of ferret meal donated by Martin Lavery Pet Foods and polyspun purse nets knitted by Conor Whelan.

Come along with your ferrets and have a bit of fun with some great prizes on offer. Anyone who attened last year will testify that it is good fun with loads of banter and craic.

how much is entry fees? not for the racing just the prices at the gate?
