jay92 0
Hi, hope this is the right place to ask lol. I was walking the dog this morning and she's pulled a rabbit out from a bush, I thought it would be a waste to just leave it there, so I brought it home hoping I can cook it up for her. Am I allowed to do this? She killed the rabbit in front of me so I know it's fresh, just thought I'd get an opinion from some experienced in this lol. Thanks for the help
Matt 160
Technically, it's taking game without consent, (unless you have the permission of the landowner) but you are right not to waste it. Don't bother cooking it; dogs are designed to eat raw flesh. Take the guts out, skin it if you wish, and let Fido have a feast

chrisjpainter 10
Yeah, as said, it's not yours to take! what you could do is take it to the farmer and give it to him, then use it as an excuse to enquire about some permission?? farmers like responsible honest people shooting on their land, so it's worth a shot! I've known odder ways to gain permission...
