Rubbing In Oil

hi guys im just wondering if any of you have heard of rubbing in oil for the stocks of your guns? it enhances the grain and colours of your stock i watched someone do it the other day but cant find it for sale anywhere on the internet

I think some people use wax.

alright thanks mate, yeah it was oil that i seen it was purdy oil that an old keeper bought about ten years ago

I think the oil you want is "Warthog Purdeys Alkanet Root Oil". I bought a bottle years ago and still have it as you only need a tiny amount. Haven't seen it in any shops for a long while now...

If you want the Purdey Warthog brand then I couldn't find it in the UK, so you might have to import.
