dare 1,103
I don't think having money makes someone a good parent. I know some really well off people who don't even know thei kids. Shagged birds from really good homes who was nothing more than slags. I'm not sure what should determine if people are allowed to have kids. When I say how strict I would be with it my mum tells me I'm like a mini hitler lol.
neems 2,406
A lot of very intelligent and healthy people have a bad upbringing which makes them grow up to be a c**t,in another environment they could have been Nobel prize winners. should they not breed and pass on their good genes? likewise some unhealthy, unintelligent person might through having been well raised and educated become a model citizen that makes some contribution to society. should they breed and pass on their poor genes? as for kids being taken off parents by social care services, that's no gauge imo, more often just amoral people making their quotas so they don't lose funding I.e their jobs. "more often just amoral people making their quotas so they don't lose funding I.e their jobs." Is that based upon any kind of factual information or experiance? There are obviously cases where social services over step the mark . . . . . But there are plenty of parents out there that abuse, torture, exploit, rape and generally make the lives of their children miserable. yeah plenty of first hand experience in this area sadly. me and the wife both work with a charity that fights to help good parents get their children back and bring to account social care services and so called health care services. it's worth it all if only for the look on their faces when they find out they may be held accountable for their actions,I'd pay out the arse for that alone. Fair enough matey. At the same time, i've spent years working counselling the kids who SHOULD have been taken away from their parents, and some of the horrors i've seen and heared are frightening. Really, really nasty shit, a lot of it sexual abuse. . . .

I can imagine, but they and even more so health visitors overstep the mark regularly, and they are very rarely held accountable for the misery they put families through. It makes sense that anyone given power should be forced to accept an equal measure of responsibility, these people have the power to tear families apart and ruin lives but when they are proven to have been wrong in doing so they aren't held accountable, and that's wrong. Good point mate there was a fella on this not to long back said he went to buy a pup and because the place was a mess and apparently a shithole took it upon himself to phone social services not right atall in my eyes. People like that ruin peoples lifes the sly ones judging people ect and making storys up and then you get a visit. Most people and myself would of told the grubby b*****d to clean up and give him ear bashing. But each to there own,,,But for kids who really are being abused i.suppose they do there job. mattyg1086 52
I'm 27 and have 2 children a 2 and a half year old girl and a 4 month old girl. Where I live we were the youngest couple when we went to anti natal classes with our first. I think you should have children in your 20's and maybe early 30's because you are young enough to have the energy to play with them all day still, but I am married and we own our own house if you are not in a stable relationship or at least mature enough to take some responsibility for the child then you shouldn't have one. I have seen supposed fathers my age waiting outside the school with a can of lager on the go, what sort of role model is that.

Aye, cos everyone in their 20's are so switched on, they really do have all of that experience to give their kids the best of guidance. . . . . . To be honest, nearly all of the dick head kids i've met, have had young parents, often more interested in other things, having fun, going out etc.

neems 2,406
My Mrs parents had her later on in life,I think they were 40 and 60 when she was born, both were dead before her 14th birthday. seems pretty obvious to me people should get married and have children young, but girls aren't raised to become mothers anymore they're raised to be sexually liberated, man hating and career orientated,so probably aren't usually mature enough at a young age. Blackdog92 2,047
Kids have got all there prioraties wrong nowadays I would probably still be classed as a kid myself by some. I was always taught that work comes 1st and I was never given time to play on xboxs but to be fair I never wanted to I would much rather be out skinning with my grandad as soon as I could hold a knife. All kids seem to care about is how many likes they get on Facebook or what ever a kardashian is doing(still have no idea what a kardashian is) Edited June 12, 2014 by Blackdog92
mattyg1086 52
I agree that youngsters having kids is bad and is the root of alot of the unruly kids about but i did go on to say that you must be mature enough it's not for everyone at that age but i believe that is the best time those people who were brought up wrong and go on to have kids young treat their kids the way they were treated and the cycle continues. Just like i am behaving the way i was brought up my mum and dad were in their 20's when they had us they owned their house and had good job, me I bought my first house when I was 21 and am on my second child now and I'm 27. What I'm getting at is the people having children young and not looking after their kids properly need to be educated and shown how to bring their kids up
