damp!! dont buy anything with damp problems

Drop TOMO a pm if you are interested in camping in Europe. I seem to recall him saying he'd done a fair bit ;)

Cheers shroom, i was thinking more ireland as I am living here now and Scotland as that's where I am from, i think Europe might be to much hassle what with the dogs.

Can I ask why Wild Camping (rough camping) is out of the question? My friend took her little one camping at 1 year old. They would go camping regularly/monthly in the summer. She's 4 now and still loves camping.

There's no way the wife would allow that, it's took me a few years to convince her that camping will be fun lol , one of the rules were that it will have to be in a campsite, i can live with that for a while lol.

I can't!!! Had to have a week in the woods without a tent last time I was stuck in a campsite! haha.

Dof E was like a concentration camp! My tent leaked, so I just went into the local woods and made a shelter and slept in there for the night. Teachers went mad when they couldn't find me. I slept like a boss though haha.

My misses would be the same. I'm not sure I would be up for it either with a 6month old. Just too much paraphernalia that is needed with a young baby, i think the hassle of it all would ruin it for me.

Done the tourer caravan for a few year's. .It was expensive and needed a big motor to tow which was also expensive to run...sold up bought a tent . We go to Newquay ..Watergate bay. .kids love it. More friendly people on tent fields imo..too many looking down their noses at each other in caravans .

the way you describe your family at the moment i'd say caravan would suit you best.

maximum living space, all the comforts, when your pitched you still have the motor for days out, no extra tax/MOT/insurance for a vehicle you dont use every day (motorhome). park up, drop the legs, fill your water, plug in, job done.

i personally love this country, there are some beautifull parts, the weather can sometimes prove a challenge, with a tourer your protected from that mostly and you still have the motor to get out quickly if the kids / missus are bored due to bad weather.

they'll have memories that last if you get on it whilst they are young, some real top sites out there now too, no more shitting in a bucket and hosing yourself down with a cold water pipe!

caravans hold there money better than motors too, if you dont like it, you'll not loose too much money.
