FERRETBOY 680
Hi guys, just wondering if anybody would be up for this two week adventure? I think it would be a great way to get the dogs fit for the following season and a great achievement for yourself . The coast to coast walk is 190 miles starting at the irish sea through the lake district, the Yorkshire dales and then the Yorkshire moors to the east coast. I think beginning of September time would be ideal. Anybody actually walked the Wainright coast to coast before? all the best Quote Link to post

Hot Meat 3,109
Know there is a sherpa service as well if your interested, don't know all details but I know they will take your kit from one site to next to save you carrying unneeded gear all day. I see the mini buses often but like I said I'm not sure of details, worth remembering tho if trying it 2 Quote Link to post

FERRETBOY 680
How far is this and how long ill it take you? I love my ales also. Me and friend hitched hiked to cornwall a few years ago now. We started back packing around the coast. I didn't take the lurcher but I did take two traditional longnets. They weighed more than the rest of my gear but third night in and I put them to use, but we didn't have any hazel so I used tent poles. Caught my first Cornish rabbit and made a mega stew the next day. We ate like kings and shared some with some other campers. After that though I just used snares. 1 Quote Link to post

mushroom 13,173
There is an amazing international path which runs from Greece along the Med down to the south of Spain. I intend to do the Spanish part this year with the Mrs and at some point in my life the full journey. ATB Shroom. 3 Quote Link to post
