bobcullen79 1,495
mk3 is good bit of gear but the noise does my napper in Put some tape over the speaker holes. Quietens it a bit, stops mud and rain getting in too. 1 Quote Link to post

vanman1 411
Should go back to making mark 1s without the interference from metal objects best finder ever made 4 Quote Link to post
resistance 189
Might try the tape thing myself haha noise is a pest!, as for accuracy I think there spot on had a few times when you dig down but the ferrets pushed up past or moved the rabbit up a bit that could be why your thinking its not accurate ? Or maybe the the handstet or collar needing calibrated ? Quote Link to post
resistance 189
Should go back to making mark 1s without the interference from metal objects best finder ever made never tried the mk1 but allot of people say they were the buissnes and prefer them to this day and still going yet, DEBEN don't service them any more and that's a bit rubbish but there's bound to be people out there know what there doing technology ways that could service the up Quote Link to post
norseman 424
im more surprised that theres no one else making locators, Deben name their price unfortunately. obviously their invaluable for retrieving your ferret. but surely it cant be that hard to make one if your that way inclined Quote Link to post

pie-eater 377
Id like to see china making them, would knock the price right down. Quote Link to post
abarrett 462
I don't think making new knocker boxes would be very profitable I only know 1 person with a mk2 box never mind a 4 But I do know 2 dozen lads with mk1 boxes I've got 5 mk1 knocker boxes my self Had a run finding them in lads garages that had packed in and the right money so had to have them TV repair men can fix them they only work on radio waves Quote Link to post
norseman 424
I read somewhere that Deben had a patent on the frequency or something of the likes. don't quote me on that. they definitely need rivals to get prices down, I may be needing 2 collars for this season which would sting around £140 new.
