jandcguns 65
Hi I have asperges syndrome and go to a special school because of it I don't really have behaviour problems and am fairly bright I have had no trouble what so ever with the police , I will proberbly apply after school when I'm 18 I love shooting and want to be a gamekeeper and if I can't have a gun that lifestyle choice is ruined I'm also into farming an I only really like football and shooting I have many reasons to have a sgc bulgur I wonder I asperges gets in the way as it gives you confidence issues and you don't like being in busy place what do you guys think they would say when I apply Edited June 7, 2014 by jandcguns Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,797
Mate, less of the sad faces! You're acting beat already. Maybe phone your FEO and have a chat regarding your situation. It'll put your mind at rest. 2 Quote Link to post
Mr Wilkes 3,036
i personaly cant see a problem...but then again im not the one who has to issue you with a cert...Apply and see what happens...Good luck Quote Link to post
delswal 3,819
Best way to find out, is simply to apply. It's no good asking anybody on here what "they" think the police will say. Apply and see what happens, if you get refused you will get your application costs refund and an explanation of why you were refused. 2 Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
I'd speak to your GP and ask if he thinks you are in his professional opinion mentally stable enough. Not meaning to sound harsh as I don't understand the condition but as the lads have said it's no good asking our opinion really. All the very best of luck though matey 1 Quote Link to post
jandcguns 65
I have been told it wears off into adulthood Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
See what feo says and docs. If he says wait a few years and see how it goes take it on the chin. Most of all mate DON'T be put off. Wait a while if he advises and save your money for when you do get it. Atb mate Dan Quote Link to post
DeerhoundLurcherMan 997
There is no constancy in firearms licensing, so no one on here can tell you you will be granted or not. No two FEOs are the same, no forces are the same. You wont know unless you try....But the best advice I would have for you is to be 100% honest in your application. Good luck 2 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
As said be honest, and ask, you can do no more, but one thing I will tell you lad, your aspirations to be a keeper will do you no harm, good luck. 2 Quote Link to post
CharlieT 32
You will need the backing of your GP and it will be dependent on the severity, but that said, I have acted as a reference and mentor for a young chap with Asperegrs who was granted both a FAC and SGC. Speak to your GP first, then, if he's happy for you to apply, go for it. 1 Quote Link to post
