Guest MOLLY
One of my usual questions If you were to catch a rabbit with mixi. Kept it fed and safe, would it get over the mixi or would it still kill it and if so how does it kill it? If it stayed alive would it have antibodies? MOLL.
Guest mush
Some will get over mixi but a lot will die a horrible death. if it stayed alive yes it would have antibodies, but make sure you don't have any fleas on any rabbits you take home or on any of your dogs after catching mixi rabbits or you may spread it onto any other permission you have. Garypco 2
the reason mixi comes in stages is cos when it hits, the survivors that have contracted mixi become immune theese antibodies remain in the genes for two or three generations thus becoming weaker,as the antibodies become weaker the rabbits then become more vulnerable and bang mixi hits, thats why you get mixi every two or three seasons after the last outbreak!!!!

Guest CharlieC
just wring its neck and put it out of its misery, thats what I would do. The rabbit as a species is a survivor and eventually they may become immune to myxi as rats are becoming immune to certain types of rat poison. In the meantime if an animals suffering its the quickest way to end it
