If you dig a wide enough hole you don't need any box.

 

The old grey box was pin point accurate, but it wasn't reliable. Why trade accuracy for reliability?

like i said we never had any locators when i were a young un, the old fellas knew what they were about, i did,nt get my first box until about 1979, could,nt afford one,i still have the old grey box, which was well used once i got the hang of it, but my terriers at the time were different to mine now,i do have a b&f which goes on every time im out i find it very useful, but even years ago we got proper results without them, it was experience that taught you , goin with the elders who knew the craic, all good fun, getting told off for not being quiet, good old days.
