Grass Cutting And Hedge Cutting Rates Of Pay .?

As above what the going rate people charge these days,? just done my garden , lawns and front hedge my self ,had bloke cut back +side hedges , cleaned up together .Always done my own garden for 24 years, but since I broke my collar bone to my shoulder have had bit of help with it. just wanted to know what most people pay for this type of labour :thumbs: few pics today

Yes must admit i prefer to quote for the job,and probably 95% of my work is on this basis but some folk especially if moneys tight will say can you give me a couple of hours hence the hourly rate. Li

done far worse in the past ----thinking back we must of looked a right bunch of cowboys

For machines and fuel you need 15-20 an hour and depends if its a proper business or just a dude doing jobs for cash, if its a business you need the higher end of that scale to cover the hidden costs

thanks lads :thumbs: , yeh its quite big garden I ve done it my self as said 24 years, do lawns+ front hedge my self, was just side+back hedge's around dog compound + moving cuttings . done it now but just wanted to know what rates were :thumbs:

had 2 lads come and do a bit last year for 15 quid an hour each and fook did they get a lot done with all the right gear :thumbs:

thats the thing mate!!! my neighbour was doing his privet hedge few weeks ago with shitty electric trimmers and strimming his lawn with a shitty electric strimmer..........after an hour he had done f**k all lol...........i went round with my stihl gear and had the hedge done in 20 mins and the garden strimmed in 10...........never helped clean up tho......... :laugh:

 

bird looking at them pictures im guessing the job was around the £150 mark mate.........:hmm:

this thread reminded me of the day i picked up my stihl long reach hedge trimmers and ended up driving past yours lol looked up the thread i did about the mooch we had and its four years ago in october............ :icon_eek: thats fooking flown by!!!!

ray you saw my hedge the other day the one on the left hand side it belongs to the old lady next door she was quoted last year £ 150 to cut and remove ,I done it for her in the end put cuttings in the orange garden waste bin ...theres some robbing fuckers about ... :yes: :yes:
