when you have found the pipe...what do you use to fix it to the walls /roof of your hutches/pens etc etc... drainpipe fixings ?

cable ties.

what do you fix the cable ties onto the wooden walls and roof with ? ?

You could use wood staples then put the cable tie through them.

next question..whats a wood staple ? as you all gathered I'm a bit shite at DIY.... I actually bought my 1st hand saw last week...2 actually..

This is what I used Vin. Pukka job. Also, If you have two short bits, dont try to join them, just fix next to each other, leaving a little gap to aid air flow. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p39724?utm_source=feed&utm_medium=googleshopping&utm_campaign=googleshopping&mkwid=cTvGbaFS&pcrid=25046296823&gclid=CjgKEAjw286dBRDmwbLi8KP71GQSJAAO

I used un-perforated land drainage pipe to link the top half of my cage to the lower tier. It lets less light through, therefore more realistic. A little harder to find though. Just cut a hole in your plywood the same size as the outside diameter of the pipe and screw through the inside wall of the pipe in to the middle layer of the plywood. If this isn't clear then let me know and I'll take a photo tomorrow evening and post it here.

FINAL QUESTION CHAPS..

I've sourced everything I need.. except I dont really know what diameter size Pipe to order.. its starts at 60mm/80mm/100/120/150mm.

thanks evryone so far.. thats why this place is so great.

no arguing , no stress. just good advice.

60mm is approx 21/2"

80mm is approx 31/4"

100mm is approx 4"

120mm is approx 43/4"

and 150mm is approx 6"

my poley jills would manage to pass through the 60mm but my albino jills are fine with 100mm but cant get into the 60mm
