The bone collector 19
Hello all, I need some light shedding on a weird occurrence I witnessed yesterday. I was walking through the park when my dog chanced upon a squirrel in an open patch of grass, she naturally charged instantly not needing to stalk and almost hit it head on, but I saw the squirrel come out underneath her and bolt for a large tree. Usually the dog is back at my side within seconds of a missed attempt, but she doubled back and ran to the base of the tree and began jumping and pointing, trying to get my attention, then she dragged out a massive squirrel, fresh as anything, not a mark on it, still warm and no rigor mortis set in. I'm convinced it was that same squirrel. Could it have died of shock? Has anyone ever witnessed anything similar? Answers, thoughts and jokes all welcome... Quote Link to post

trigger2 3,137
you did mention it was massive mate. and there lies your clue. massively over weight the short sprint to the tree caused it to have a heart attack. Quote Link to post

The bone collector 19
Thanks for the replies and jokes lads! I'm guessing it either hit the tree hard or just had a heart attack maybe, f**k knows. Surprised nobody has seen anything similar though. Quote Link to post
