Kieran, looking forward to the two days mate, and i know there is no better man to organize a fair day for all to race or show and make it two days to remember. You know the drill by now with people hav

Best of luck with the show, weather forecast is good and best of luck to all those racing as they will have put alot of work in to get their dogs fit for the day

The whippet race will be ran under the same conditions as the clubs mourne show.

On your race work question lv.my dogs work the season and race the summer at the shows for a bit of craic which is what they are ran for thanks for asking.

highly commendable tango and I totally agree with you "which is what they are ran for" BUT the dogs in the racing what do they do in the working season?

Who selected the judges for the all ireland?

couple of questions :hmm: .......

(1) Can you confirm if the All Ireland Champion Whippet from the showing on Saturday qualifies for the 5 Nations Whippet Championship on the Sunday? (I would assume they would?)

(2) How are the race heats (in each of the categories) going to be organised? Will dogs be numbered as they are booked in and the numbers be drawn out to see who races against who in each of the heats?.....surely this would be the fairest way to do it and would avoid any arguments about who is matched against who, and if 1 owner has 2 or more dogs in the same heat so be it - it's the luck of the draw :whistling:

Kieran, looking forward to the two days mate, and i know there is no better man to organize a fair day for all to race or show and make it two days to remember. You know the drill by now with people having a rant about this or that, and as you know you can't please them all so i commend you for trying. lol I used to think a lot like Leeview but ive come to realise people keep dogs for very very different reasons. My dogs first and foremost are for working as you know but i enjoy the racing and showing throughout the summer. Others have no interest in hunting and only want to show or race but if that their thing then so be it i might not agree with them entering their show ponies in the working class but i see it for what it is a bit of craic. And at the end of the day who are they actually fooling with the show ponies or purpose bred racers? Keep dogs for what you want them for and don't worry about what others keep theirs for  See you tomorrow mate for the launch

Here's a copy of the challenge process that will be used for the whippet racing at Shanes Castle this year.

So in Margaret McStays results it states whippet prizes were withheld due to a dispute, so has this been resolved yet?

Dont tar all the whippet ones with the same brush.......only one or two cheats who spoil it for the rest

ajt and organisers posted they were all for stamping this cheating out from their shows, banning dogs and owners if proven that they have cheated from their future shows, BUT seem very reluctant to let out whats going on when asked?
