Fail!!!

Any pics

Haha, I know, right! I just want to get a decent bag and photo it up for the forum.

There was a squirrel that was an easy shot, but unretrievable. So I didn't take the shot.

Had a focus on a rabbit so badly, I totally overlooked the woodie in the tree above. Woodie was an easier shot too....plus a more favourable option for me. I want to try this new woodie breast burger recipe.

I woke up thinking, this day is going to kick arse. As soon as I got on site....everything started going wrong! haha

I'm sure you will end up with a decent bag at some point but slowly and steady away. You don't have to prove anything to anyone on here.

We all have bad days. Feck. I have had more than my fair share.

One being traveling a fair distance to a spot only to find I had forgot my battery. I was the bag boy for the night.

Forgotten magazines. Pellets and the worst of all... A leaky o ring

The only thing to ruin your hunt worse than rain...beautiful weather, and 3 buzzards flying overhead for hours!!!

Beautiful to watch them...but not conducive to shooting.

Today's bag....ZERO!!!

I was out this morning myself but didn’t take a single shot; instead I was enthralled watching a cow give birth in the field. Over a two hour period I witnessed the birth through to the calf suckling and it was wonderful. Just being out in the countryside and watching natural events is every bit as rewarding as culling vermin to me.

unluck mate.nowt worse.got 14 rabbit myself.not that im trying to rub it in.av been ther tho mate

It's okay. I'm used to just loads and loads of ratting, and can pop rats with the best of them. But now I'm trying to go for rabbits, crows, pigeons and the alike. Squirrels seem to be simple enough. Like rats, wait a while and they'll come out, then they just stand still a while and pop. Simples.

Rabbits...that's a newer challenge. I've bagged a few, but I'm really trying to improve my stalking and longer ranged shooting.

Very temped to go back to steel sights and practice the fundamentals again. Did loads of fundamental work, but while ratting, I think I've gotten lazy.

Want to partner up? I'm only around 340ish miles away, plus the distance to my permission...so only about 350 miles apart. Oh wait....I see a problem now....haha
