BULL 100
Do you use dummies or let nature take it's course I always let nature take it's course. But I've been trying to remove eggs and put back to hatch same time already broke three !
fireman 11,082
I use to but no real point to be honest,f there's enough food there'll all get fed and survive. It might be a bit of a pain when it comes to ringing but to be honest even in a nest of 5 you'd only need to visit the nest twice,3 times at most to get them all rung anyway and not 5 days in a row like you'd think if they hatch one a day at a time.
BULL 100
I'm really not liking it as I'm to heavy handed and breaking them I'll stick with it now and make a note of the numbers and if they have another clutch I'll let them do it natural see the differences if any

francolin 449
they are handy if first round chicks are still in and trying to sit in a nest when second clutch is started,to stop any damage, then put chicks in new cage when eggs are set,or put wire divider inbetween chicks and sitting hen,but natural is best when poss. BULL 100
Managed to get two back in the nest without breaking them , if the same birds have any more clutches I'm gonna try and see the difference if I just leave then
